About Neighbor Links

Built on connection, guided by dignity.

Neighbor Links is a locally owned personal support service agency dedicated to serving neighbors across East Tennessee with care, consistency, and respect.

Our Purpose

We support individuals of all ages and abilities in living full, independent, goal-driven lives. That work happens through personalized support, steady community integration, and advocacy when someone needs a stronger voice in the room.

Care should never isolate a person or restrict their fundamental rights. Freedom of choice, freedom of movement, and access to the community are the starting conditions of every plan we build, not rewards to be earned.

The Neighbor Links Approach

A team chosen with the person, not for them

Before services begin, the person receiving support has a voice in staff matching. We talk through routines, interests, communication styles, and the practical details that make a day go well, then introduce staff who fit. When something is not working, we say so early and make a change.

Community Inclusion

Ordinary places, real relationships

Inclusion is measured in specifics: a regular table at a favorite diner, a shift at a local shop, a church group, a library card that gets used. We build support around the places a person already cares about and help them add new ones at their own pace.

What We Stand For

  • Human Rights

Support should never isolate a person or narrow the rights they already hold. Privacy, relationships, faith, and daily choices stay with the person, and our team is expected to protect them.

  • Self-Determination

Goals belong to the person, written in their words. We plan around what someone wants their week to look like and adjust as their priorities change.

  • Clear Communication

Families and members can reach leadership directly, ask questions, and raise concerns through a grievance process that is explained plainly and answered promptly.

Prepared to Support Well

Every member of our support team completes specialized onboarding before working with the people we serve, followed by ongoing development throughout the year. Training covers health and safety practices, respectful daily support, and rights advocacy.

Leadership stays close to the work. We keep open access for families and members, ask for feedback while it can still change something, and resolve grievances through a process that is written down and explained clearly.
